1. Policy Overview

TimeCam is an AI camera app. You can take or import a photo, select a target time, location, and generation mode, and let AI generate historical or futuristic imagery.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos or precise location for third-party ad tracking. We process media, location, account, credits, and generation records only to the extent necessary to provide our features.

This policy is written for public listing and mainstream app store review scenarios. Because app features, SDKs, regional laws, and store rules may change, please verify against the actual data processing behavior of the final published version before submitting to the App Store, Google Play, or other marketplaces.

2. Information We Collect

Account & Contact Information

When you sign in with Apple, Google, email verification code, or other login methods, we may collect your user ID, display name, email address, login method, login time, and session credentials. Session credentials are used to maintain your login state and protect account security.

User Content & Generation Data

When you take, import, or upload media, we may process photos, file names, file types, generation prompts, custom locations, custom events, target dates, generation modes, generation results, shared images, caches, and related metadata.

Location, Time & Scene Information

With your permission, we may read precise or approximate location to identify places, estimate sun position, match weather and historical context, and generate imagery that better fits the location and time. You may also enter a location manually; if you deny location permission, some location-related features may be unavailable or less accurate.

Camera, Photo Library, Microphone & Notifications

Camera and photo library are used to capture, import, and save imagery. Microphone is used only when audio-related features require it. Notification permission is used to send reminders related to generation, account, or service updates. We do not access these permissions in the background without cause.

Transaction, Credits & Subscription Information

We record free credits, sharing rewards, subscription credits, purchased credits, consumption details, subscription plans, subscription status, and billing periods. If you purchase through an app store, sensitive payment information such as payment accounts and bank cards is typically handled by Apple, Google, or other payment providers — we do not directly store complete payment card information.

Technical, Log & Security Information

To maintain service stability and prevent abuse, we may process IP addresses, device types, operating systems, browsers, languages, request times, API paths, error logs, performance logs, cookies, LocalStorage, SecureStore data, and security risk control records.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide camera, media upload, scene analysis, historical and futuristic image generation, HD export, and sharing features.
  • Identify login status, manage account data, calculate generation credits, and process subscriptions and rewards.
  • Generate more relevant AI results based on location, target time, weather, historical data, and scene characteristics.
  • Save generation records and results so you can view your works, troubleshoot issues, and help us improve service quality.
  • Send verification codes, account notifications, service change alerts, and necessary security messages.
  • Protect service security by detecting abnormal requests, abuse, fraud, attacks, and violations of the Terms of Service.
  • Comply with laws, regulations, app store rules, dispute resolution, and regulatory requirements.

4. Device Permissions

Permission Purpose Impact If Denied
Camera Capture the current scene as a reference for AI generation. Cannot take photos directly, but you can still import existing media on supported platforms.
Photos / Media Library Import photos and save generated results to your local album. Cannot import from or save to the photo library, depending on system authorization scope.
Location Identify places, calculate sun position, match weather and historical context. Location-related generation quality may decrease; you can use manual location input instead.
Microphone Capture audio in audio-related features. Audio-related capabilities will be unavailable.
Notifications Send service reminders, generation status, account security, or important update notifications. You will not receive push notifications, but core generation features are unaffected.

5. Sharing & Third-Party Processing

We share necessary information only to deliver features, ensure security, fulfill legal obligations, or with your consent. Service types that may be involved include:

  • AI model and visual analysis services, for processing images, prompts, and related context you choose to upload.
  • Cloud storage, CDN, database, and server hosting services, for storing media, generation results, accounts, logs, and service data.
  • Login services, such as Apple, Google, email verification, and other identity verification services.
  • Email delivery, notification, risk control, monitoring, and error troubleshooting services.
  • Map, geocoding, weather, and historical context services, for location identification and generation context.
  • App stores, payment providers, and subscription management platforms, for handling purchases, refunds, subscription status, and tax requirements.

Third-party services may process data according to their own policies. We select reasonably secure service providers and require them to process relevant data only as instructed and for legitimate purposes.

6. AI Processing

TimeCam's core features rely on generative AI. To produce results, the media you select, target time, location, scene analysis results, and prompts may be sent to AI service providers for processing. AI output may contain fictional, inaccurate, biased, or incomplete information, does not represent real historical evidence, and should not be used as the basis for legal, medical, safety, identity verification, or other high-risk decisions.

Please do not upload content you do not have the right to use, sensitive photos of others, materials involving minors without guardian consent, identity documents, financial information, medical records, or other content unsuitable for AI processing.

7. Security & Retention

We use HTTPS transmission, access controls, session protection, rate limiting, permission isolation, and log monitoring to protect data. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security — please protect your account, verification codes, and device access.

Account information is typically retained for the duration of the account. Uploaded media, generation results, and generation records are retained as needed to provide access to your works, caching, quality troubleshooting, security auditing, and product operations. Verification codes, temporary logs, and security records are retained for shorter or necessary periods as required by their function. After account deletion or receipt of a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize relevant data within a reasonable period; data required for legal, tax, security, dispute resolution, or backup recovery purposes may be retained longer.

8. Your Choices & Rights

  • You can disable camera, photo library, location, microphone, and notification permissions in your system settings.
  • You can sign out within the app, or clear local caches and saved generation results.
  • You can request access to, correction, copying, deletion, or restriction of processing of your personal information.
  • You can object to non-essential processing or withdraw consent you have given; withdrawal may affect some features.
  • If the laws of your jurisdiction provide additional rights, we will process them in accordance with applicable law.

To exercise your rights, please contact us at privacy@timecam.app. To protect account security, we may need to verify your identity.

9. Account & Data Deletion

To delete your TimeCam account and associated data, please send an email to privacy@timecam.app with the subject line "TimeCam Account Deletion Request" and provide your login email or information that can be used to verify your account.

Upon receiving your request, we will first verify your identity, then delete or anonymize your account information, login associations, credit records, uploaded media, generation results, and generation records. Completed app store transactions, financial records, security audit records, dispute resolution records, and information required by law may be retained for the necessary period.

This page can be used as the data deletion instructions link for Google Play and other app marketplaces. For marketplaces that require in-app account deletion initiation, TimeCam will provide a clearly visible deletion entry in the corresponding published version.

10. Children

TimeCam is not directed at children under 13 years of age, nor does it actively target children as defined by applicable law. Minors should use this service with the consent and guidance of a guardian. If a guardian believes a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact us to address the matter.
